VESTMANNAEYJAR

Located about 5 miles off the south coast of Iceland, the Vestmannaeyjar are a group of 15 islands, of which Heimaey is the chief inhabited island. With 10 million puffins and over 70 volcanoes, the islands are definitely worth exploring. Climb the ladders up Heimaklettur, watch the sunset from Stórhöfði — the windiest place in Europe — and cook a hot dog in the crevasses on top of Eldfell.
