In Albania I remember high, dry mountains with stunning beaches below, home-made raki liquor like jet fuel, dusty roads and innumerable lavazhes (car washes).
Situated along the Mediterranean coast between Montenegro and Greece, Albania is known for its rugged coast and mountains. The landscape changes dramatically when entering Albania from North Macedonia at Lake Ohrid, becoming much drier and more reminiscent of Greece than North Macedonia or Montenegro.
